Abstract

Religious character can be interpreted as an effort to make a person know care and be able to implement religious values so that they behave in accordance with their religious teachings. This study aims to analyze the role of PAI teachers in shaping students' religious character through religious programs designed and to find out how the results of these programs in shaping students' religious character in SMP Negeri 1 Maniis. This research method uses a type of descriptive qualitative research through observation and interviews. The resource persons in this study were Waka Curriculum, PAI teachers, and students at SMP Negeri 1 Maniis. The results of the study show that the implementation of these programs has not been implemented optimally because there are still many students who do not have awareness in themselves so they do not carry out the program.
