Penerapan Pembiasaan Hafalan Hadits Pilihan Dalam Pembentukan Karakter Islami Santri

Abstract

The formation of Islamic character in students is an important and most important aspect in Islamic-based education. Especially in the current era where the technological system is increasingly sophisticated which makes it easier for humans to be carried away by the current, resulting in a lack of Islamic character, including students. Therefore, there needs to be a program that can improve Islamic character, especially for students. One of the methods that can be applied in the Islamic character formation program of students is the habit of memorizing selected hadiths that are relevant to moral and moral values. This service activity aims to implement an Islamic character formation program with a method of memorizing selected hadiths in Islamic boarding schools. The methods used in this program include lectures, periodic memorization practices that are carried out jointly and gradually, making deposits or memorization tests to the supervisor, and periodic evaluations to measure the effectiveness of the application of the method. The results of the activity show that the habit of memorizing hadith is able to form an attitude of discipline, honesty, and responsibility in daily life. Thus, the application of this method can be an effective strategy in building Islamic character in students.
